The Action Bulletproof Tactical Reaction Vest is built for officers who need fast, reliable protection on every shift. It is worn over the uniform, so it is the go-to bulletproof vest for armed response teams, security companies, reaction units and private security officers across South Africa.
Every vest is manufactured in our own South African factory and the ballistic panels are 100% tested & certified. Because we make the vests ourselves, we can supply single vests or full company orders, with your company name embroidered on the front and back.
Choose your protection
- Level II – stops 9mm and .357 Magnum handgun rounds. Lighter and more flexible for long shifts.
- Level IIIA – stops 9mm, .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum handgun rounds for higher-risk work.
- Front & Back – chest and back panels.
- Full Wrap – panels extend around the sides of the torso for extra side protection.
The vest also has plate pockets, so you can add hard armour plates for protection against rifle rounds.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Level II and Level IIIA?
Level II protection is rated to stop 9mm and .357 Magnum handgun rounds. Level IIIA is a step up and is rated to stop 9mm, .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum rounds. Neither level is designed to stop rifle rounds – for rifle threats you need hard armour plates such as our Level III++ plates.
Front & Back or Full Wrap – which should I choose?
Front & Back panels protect the chest and back. Full Wrap panels extend around the sides of the torso for additional side protection, which is recommended for armed response and high-risk work.
Can I see and fit the vest before buying?
Yes – visit our stores inside Eastcoast Arms in Springfield Park, Durban, or inside Sky-Ops Glock Shop in Wynberg, Sandton, to be fitted.
Do you supply security companies in bulk?
Yes. We manufacture in-house, so we can supply bulk orders with company branding. Send us an enquiry with the quantities and sizes you need.
