The Action Bulletproof Covert Undervest is a concealable bulletproof vest designed to be worn under everyday clothing. Its slim profile and adjustable straps keep it discreet under a shirt, golf shirt or jacket, so you are protected without looking like you are wearing body armour.
It is the preferred choice for VIP and close protection officers, executives, business owners, cash-in-transit staff, journalists and plain-clothes officers.
Like all our body armour, the Covert Undervest is manufactured in our own South African factory and the ballistic panels are 100% tested & certified.

- Level II – stops 9mm and .357 Magnum. The thinnest, most comfortable option for all-day concealed wear.
- Level IIIA – stops 9mm, .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum.
- Front & Back or Full Wrap coverage.

Frequently asked questions
Can a covert vest really be hidden under a shirt?
Yes. The Covert Undervest is designed to sit close to the body under a shirt or jacket. A slightly looser outer layer and the Level II option give the most discreet fit.
What is the difference between Level II and Level IIIA?
Level II protection is rated to stop 9mm and .357 Magnum handgun rounds. Level IIIA is a step up and is rated to stop 9mm, .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum rounds. Neither level is designed to stop rifle rounds – for rifle threats you need hard armour plates such as our Level III++ plates.
Covert vest or overt vest – which do I need?
Choose a covert undervest if you need to stay discreet. If you work in uniform and need pouches and branding on the outside, our Tactical Reaction Vest or Recce Vest is a better fit.
